We purchase carbon credits to offset the production and transport of all our espresso-based coffees as well as our teas. These carbon offsets fund projects benefitting the countries from which we source our coffee beans and tea leaves. Deeper still, our Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance certifications ensure that no primary forest is cut down, and that no slave- or child-labour is ever used in the making of our products.

The Fair Trade Certified logo is your third-party guarantee that farmers and workers in developing countries receive a fair price for their labour and products. Visit transfair.ca to learn more.

Far Coast has joined with the CarbonNeutral Company to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through carbon offsetting. Our contributions have been invested in the Callahuanca Hydro Power Project in Peru, a country that grows coffee beans used in Far Coast coffee. CarbonNeutral also supports a Future Forests restoration project southwest of Dawson Creek, BC, where a young forest is now reclaiming areas previously used in oil & gas exploitation.
